Outline of the day

10-12.30: In the morning, we have two half hour talks followed by half hour discussion/questions; we start with an overview of the situation, including some historical context and some detail of how things stand at the moment. This is followed by Israeli peace activist and alternative tour guide Rotem Mor outlining his experiences and introducing his forthcoming book.

1.30-4: After lunch, we have two panels; firstly, a group of people will speak of their experiences of and insights into Gaza; two are Gazan, and one is an Australian woman who was on one of the first Free Gaza boats and subsequently stayed there for some time. After this, three people who have spent some time in the West Bank as visitors from Britain will speak about the different ways internationals can bear witness and make a difference.

6.30-9: In the evening, there will be a performance of Palestine Monologues, followed by the writers/directors of Go to Gaza, Drink the Sea speaking about the process of bringing the realities of Operation Cast Lead to the stage.
